How to Operate the Pro Jr II
The Pro Jr II controller is as easy to operate as 1 - 2 - 3 .
- Set the ADVANCE time (measured in hours) by moving the rotary dial on the left to the desired time. Remember, ADVANCE time is the time needed to get water to the end of the furrows on two sets. It is not the total watering time. During the ADVANCE phase, water will be cycled three or four times on each side of the valve. You may change the ADVANCE time at any time and the Pro Jr. II will automatically adjust the remaining cycles.
- When the Pro Jr. II automatically goes into the SOAK cycles, it will repeatedly re-wet the furrows to add depth to your water profile after water has advanced to the end of the field. To adjust for more or less water during the SOAK cycle, move the rotary dial on the right toward the minus (-) sign for less water (to control runoff) or toward the plus (+) sign for more water.
- The SOAK cycles will continue to repeat until you turn off the controller. To end your irrigation, turn the ADVANCE dial on the left to the OFF position. To start a new program, the controller must be turned OFF and then turned on again.
The CHANGE toggle switch allows you to change sides manually at any time while the Pro Jr. II is running. If you change sides during the first cycle, the controller will restart the program without losing a cycle.
The small, blinking red light in the center of the controller lets you know that it is operating.
Automatic Programs for the P & R Pro Jr. II Controller
The P & R Pro Jr. II controller is programmed with longer advance cycles to get water to the end of the furrow and with shorter soak cycles to finish the irrigation. When you select your advance time, the automatic cycles will run as follows:
